The batch torrent isn't about anything. It is one big torrent for Reborn episodes 1-65.

A Batch Torrent is usually made when a group finishes a series. They delete all the individual torrents for each episode. Then they put all the episodes in a folder and create a new torrent. This allows them to seed the series in one big batch.

So if you have every episode of Reborn, or in this case 1-65. You would create a folder and name it to match the batch torrent. Then check every file via the sfv file to make sure the names match.

Then you can seed the batch torrent.

Well, I gave it a try. It works fine even in VLC player (which I only use for testing certain files).
Shinsen officially support the CCCP pack.
But either way, it works just fine. Therefore I can only assume that something on your computer is not set up properly. Please make sure that you have the latest version of the playback software/codecs of your choice and make sure that your computer isn't
a) 15 years old
b) broken
Anyway, the files do work in any combination I tried (on an oldish computer). So you will have to look for the problem on your end.

If you already have some of the episodes you can just stick them in the folder. Once you have the other episodes your missing you can seed the batch torrent.

the anime is using random chapters (not even in the right order) of the early manga volumes now (which were skipped before in the series), so it could be possible. at least I hope so.

I had the exact same problem when subbers started making .mp4 files
However there is a simple player that can play them with use of the CCCP ofc. just google "Media Player Classic" and find the hp where you can download it, its a simple player but it works with .mp4 files smoothly.. You should have no problems watching .mp4 at all when you get that.

P.s. the program is really small so it should be a very fast download..

I'm currently watching reborn I am at about episode 22, I hated the series for the first 10 episodes and disliked it up until like 18 when it started getting serious.
I stuck with the series because I hoped it would get better as it now have =)

However I get very unpleasent chills down my spine when I think about the end of he arc where the infamous fillers probably awaits. To find a way around this I've been looking for a list of reborn filler eps so I know which eps I should skipp since it will probably retract to the old same-same lambo crying and screaming and Bianci throwing food around randomly style.

If anyone here know where I could find a list like that or knows roughly which episodes I should watch out for I'd be very grateful for the help ^^

It all depends on how tolerant you are towards the really silly and goofy parts of the series, what you call "ordinary life" really just makes me frustrated at how unentertained I feel and I keep wathing it just because I know it will get better later on.
In the end after too many filler eps (havent happend to me with this series yet) I get so frustrated that I start an episode feeling that I know that it wont be good and with that kind of attitude even the good parts doesnt feel very enjoyable anymore.

My last episode was episode 69 (obviously...), so I don't know it exactly what's going on right now, but the current story arc known as "Future Arc" or "Tyl Arc"(=Ten years later arc) starts around Chapter 137, in Volume 16.

I like the the designation "Tyl", because if you discuss about character developement and stuff, you can make clear what you are talking about (for example if you say "I think Tyl-Gokudera rocks" or "Tyl-Lal Mirch is hot") and so on. ^^

yeah right, but in the reborn! case most of the "fillers" are original (more or less ^^) stories of the manga, not just "only anime filler" stories (as in other series like d.gray-man). that is why I called them "arcless".

the producers even left some stories behind (no time help for the mangaka?). naito longchamp (some crazy guy of another mafia famiglia) and his famiglia were never introduced in the anime and all stories related to him are missing. and it seems they will never do it, because the next arc already started. O_o

I wonder whether the anime is going a bit too fast. The group's already fighting others in episode 76. The pace seems to have sped up. Maybe reading the manga frame by frame makes it feel slow, but really, the anime is so damn fast! It'll catch up to the manga in no time at all, and I truly wish the studio won't end REBORN with an original anime ending...

As a general rule this tends to happen a lot. I believe that there are still a few plot holes that they can fill and use to their advantage once they decide to go back to the daily arc. They could even expand on the history of a few sparsely mentioned characters, if they wanted to perpetuate the story in some manner without disconnecting the audience.

Don't you guys think the story could potentially go broken? Since they're talking about the future right now and they will be getting mighty strong this arc (I assume so). So what would happen after they return? will the story end since everything is "fixed" in the future already? T_T I personally don't want it to end after the future arc, Reborn is a great idea, and I want to see more episodes.

That could be. Daily Life episodes killed my memory of the Varia arc... Still, going to the future and messing around, then eventually going back will definitely change the future.Therefore, as soon as adult Gokudera showed normal Tsuna the pic of Irie and told him to kill him, I assume a new timeline would be created once the gang goes back to their time.

Time travel always leaves these kinds of questions. I wonder if the mangaka even has a distinct answer. ^^;

But I did some research of my own and (thank you wiki)I found out more about the Vongola family tree (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vongola_Family#Members) They mention, that The first his Tsuna's Great-great-great Grandfather, and he lived 400 years before the story. But they don't say anything about the other boss's relation with each other. That will be interesting finding out how it all fits in.

Anyway honorifics.

The wiki article covers it pretty well but it's also important to understand the context. There are times where -san is more familiar than -kun or -chan. If you look at Reborn, Haru called him "Tsuna-san" she absolutely adores him. In that case her honorific holds more weight than Kyoko's (who's only friendly with him).

Sometimes the lack honorifics are very good or very unfamiliar. In Reborn Yamada just calls him Tsuna as does Reborn, they're using it in a very friendly manner. On the other hand Hibari and Hana refer to him as Tsunayoshi or Sawada, very unfamiliar.

(Ya, I realize Tsuna is short for Tsunayoshi, technically a nickname but you see my point :D)

If you read this He accepted Iemitsu's son, Tsuna, as the next head of the Vongola Family, but a fake IX that replaced him decided that Xanxus was more worthy to become the next boss. Not realizing this IX was a fake, Iemitsu argued, wanting Tsuna to become the 10th boss. Thus, the fake IX sanctioned the traditional Vongola battle; those who wield the same ring will have a one-on-one battle. you'll see that you are wrong and Merines has it right.
There's also this little fact " When Xanxus found out that he was not the IX's son, and that someone without the Vongola bloodline cannot become the next boss "
That also proves that all the boss truly are connected in one way or another, even though there's 400 years separating Tsuna and Giotto

Some good news for Shinsen-subs, I guess. AnimeSoftSubs and Yuurisan have dropped the Hitman Reborn project which means that Shinsen-subs and some group called Kesenai-subs are the only ones still on the project!

Can't wait for some more episodes!

I really fail to see what makes this good news. One group dropping a show means less choice for all of the fans. Fansubbing is not a competition. Anyway, I (and I think everybody else) wish them good luck with their other projects. ^_^

Guys, have you seen the work put out by the other folks?

I figure fansub viewers fall into two categories: 1) People who have some general understanding of Japanese but not enough to be able to dispense with subs entirely, and 2) people with little grasp of Japanese and no real drive to learn.

Under most circumstances, a bad fansub will satisfy the needs of people in category 2. They don't know what they're missing, and probably don't care. But.. I watched three episodes of Reborn past #89 because - let's face it - it's been a long wait. Naturally this meant watching the other fansubs.

Holy crap. Being dead wrong on a translation is one thing. (Ex: Choosing to translate 'suman' as 'sorry' even when contextually it makes much better sense to translate it as 'thanks'.) I'm used to filtering such things. But it seems to be too much to ask of these other guys that their subs be LUCID to English-speaking people. Conversations are frequently impossible to follow due to the patchwork nature of the translations. It is SO BAD that I am more than willing to wait a solid month for the next properly-subtitled episode of Reborn, which is currently the most entertaining anime out there (while One Piece is in a minor lull). It's awful. Hideous.

And all this just goes to reflect positively on the efforts of Shinsen-Subs. Looking forward to the next release.

I'm nearly positive that no one working on our version watches any other group's offering. In a very general way, you're right in your classing of fansub viewers. A lot of people just grab whatever they see first, which obviously is not our version lately, and many of them watch via crappy streaming sites since they can't be bothered to download the real file. I can't say anything about the quality or accuracy of any other groups and won't say anything negative about them, but we're glad there are a few people who are willing to wait for our version.

On a personal note, having worked on every episode since episode six, I feel like our team is the most capable of providing the best version simply because of familiarity with the material (I actually did a little scanlating with a group that was well known for Reborn as well prior to working on the anime). I have seen some screenshots from other groups' offerings with names that are just plain wrong (Malay Rings, for example) that could have been easily avoided by a simple visit to Wikipedia. Of course, this is just my opinion. Every fansubber thinks his/her version is the best. :P

Its good to see an update on the forum. I was very confused when the eps stopped at 89. I, sadly, went to the other groups to get my fix of KHR but I am too disappointed with them. If I wasn't satisfied with them, I wouldn't be on this forum now. Amen to you guys. And I noticed you do other subs that those others do; I might have to switch, who knows what I've been missing :)
