It's been six days since the first episode of JS Mitsuganae came out, and I'm very upset that no one has subtitled it. Shinsen-Subs had translated JS Futakomori, so I expected you'd be doing this season too.

Do you intend on doing it? I'd hate to watch the series RAW. It's a beautiful show.

Am I the only one who watches this show? Doesn't anyone else want it with English subtitles? Thank you!

And while you were looking for them you might have found this.
Or, if that is too much effort or too little time, you could have read the front page. You would have found this thread I made specifically for requests like yours.
Or you could have read this request for the very same show.
But I suppose people who use hot pink as their font colour of choice can't be expected to do any of that.

I will be breaking Rules #1 and #5; however, I implore you to overlook that detail temporarily as you read my post.

I love Jigoku Shoujo and am a huge fan of Enma Ai but I am depressed. Depressed because the first impressions of Jigoku Shoujo fans Shinsen staff members received were from MsLaundry and AkiraKogami. Though their posts were horrifyingly mind-numbing, I would like to elucidate the driving forces behind their and my posts: appreciation and hope. Appreciation for the excellent quality of Shinsen’s subbing of the previous two seasons and hope that Shinsen will continue to give us their time and effort in subbing the third season. It is precisely your sacrifices which allowed us to become fans originally because without you, we would have never been able to join the numerous people, blessed with Japanese literacy, who enjoy Jigoku Shoujo. Therefore, on behalf of everyone who has been able to understand Jigoku Shoujo due to your subbing, I express my gratitude; thank you.

Now I believe I must offer “a coherent explanation as to why the world needs to see 78 freaking episodes of ‘Somebody pisses somebody off. Then they go to hell.’” Anime fans are mostly children and young adults. For reasons I know not, anime is frowned upon by the majority of society and thus an enormous pressure, from our peers and elders, is exerted upon us. Due to that pressure, some anime fans are either rarely able to or unable to experience the blessings of life (happiness, friendship and romance etc.) through anything other than anime. Of those under privileged anime fans, some find solace in Jigoku Shoujo.

Shinsen, please accept the burden of this third season of Jigoku Shoujo. You are responsible for those of us who are currently suffering from a “lack of ippai shin de miru”; you originally created this bridge of diamonds for us and now that that bridge which connects those of us in this hell named America to that paradise known as Japan is beginning to fall into disrepair. Please sub Jigoku Mitsuganae and repair that bridge.

P.S. if this wall of text crits you for over 9000, don’t kill me I’m at work right now

As an explanation for my request for you to consider this post despite my violation of the rules, there have been rumors flying around that Shinsen will NOT be doing the 3rd season of Jigoku Shoujo. With the comment from Cyprene about why this should even be subbed. I hate to say it but it reinforces those rumors somewhat so I was rather alarmed. I was originally going to post in two weeks but upon reading that I decided to do it earlier

Yes, we will sub JS 3. Everything's prepared so far, we're only waiting for our translator who will come back in one or two weeks and then we'll start.
